MAILАтмосферная блэк-метал-группа Finnr's Cane была основана в городе Садбери, Онтарио, Канада, в 2008 году силами вокалиста и гитариста The Bard, барабанщика The Peasant и клавишницы The Slave. Ребята черпают вдохновение прежде всего из мира природы и контраста между человеком и природой. Творческое влияние же оказали такие группы, как Agalloch, Alcest, Blind Guardian, Dissection, Drudkh, Emperor, Empyrium, Enya, Jandek, Lantlos, Loreena Mckennitt, The Mahavishnu Orchestra, Negura Bunget, Opeth, Pelican, Sorcier Des Glaces, Sigur Ros, Tame Impala, Ulver, Wolves in the Throne Room и Woods of Ypres.
Группа прошла долгий путь от своего дебюта 2010 года «Wanderlust». Использование виолончели вместо бас-гитары, в частности, делает эту группу уникальной с момента ее создания.
