Авангардные норвежцы In The Woods… ушли в небытие на заре нового тысячелетия, только лишь для того, чтобы возродиться в 2016 году с новым составом и с новым альбомом "Pure". Этот релиз дал понять, что группа вернулась к своей прежней форме и ей ещё есть что сказать. И со своим крайним лонгплеем "Cease the Day" коллектив продолжает двигаться в этом же направлении. Это зрелый альбом, с полностью реализованными идеями, который поднимает планку столь высоко, о чём многие другие авангардные проекты могут только мечтать.
"Cease the Day" — это потрясающий, мелодичный и грандиозный релиз, идеально балансирующий между прогрессивом, блэком, шугейзом и пост-металом. Он ни на минуту не теряет своей хватки, каждый элемент здесь вплетён в общее музыкальное полотно настолько искусно, насколько это только возможно.
"Cease the Day" — это столь музыкально насыщенный релиз, что плохое звучание испортило бы его на корню. Но, к счастью, продакшн здесь "тёплый", глубокий и кристально чистый, и всё на этом альбоме имеет возможность полностью раскрыть свой потенциал.
